I have a reverence for natural and man-made materials both in their natural state and manipulated by the human hand and the forces of nature and time. With these paintings I’m paying homage to the beauty of these materials.
I work with oil and cold wax medium applying thick and thin layers of this mixture, adding and removing throughout the course of the painting to create rich color combinations, shapes and textures. These paintings were made in 2022-2023.
